Eastern Ink Tarot Cards - Yin-Yang Spread and Example

In the interpretation guidebook of Eastern Ink Tarot cards, the Yin-Yang Spread is introduced. But this time, we invited Zhong Ling as our special guest to share another reading case based on this spread. Let's take a look!

Yin-Yang Spread

Zhong Ling believes that modern people's understanding of tarot is no longer based on fatalism, and modern tarot reading is different from traditional divination. Instead, tarot is based on the philosophy of body, mind and spirit of the new era, to help people start from self-exploration, finding their own inspirations of destiny, so as to grasp the future. In this spread, you need to place 4 cards: Goal, Yang (the situation that has already been manifested), Yin (the situation that has not yet manifested), Balance (how to coordinate and balance these two energies). Zhong Ling shared a different case from the example in the guidebook:

ANALYSIS

It is better to analyze the past than to anticipate the future. If the pattern of the past does not change, the querent will only repeat it over and over again in the future.

Reading:

• In this spread, there is one Major Arcana card, one Cups card, and two Swords cards. Among them, there are two 6 cards echoing each other, revealing the key to solve the problem.

• The 6 of Cups originally has harmonious energy, but the reversed one reflects the inequality in a relationship, which means the querent maybe desire to give too much in exchange for the equal care from her partner. However, her partner may see the relationship as supporting each other equally, so there can be a huge gap between the two people because of their different understandings of the relationship.

• The 5 of Swords reversed represents the problem that has come to the surface, and it reflects the most intuitive feelings of the people involved in the relationship -- the hurt caused by arguments and disagreements. However, this is just the appearance of the situation, not the root of the question.

• The Hanged Man represents the unmanifested problem which the querent not aware of, reflecting the deeper cause of the question. Love is not a trade, which means sacrifice cannot make you get the same treatment of each other. This kind of understanding is the root cause of the victim mode.
